The fourth
volume in the series of conference proceedings “Young Researchers” comprises
papers presented at the Annual PhD Conference held in February 2019. This event
is on its way to become a traditional step in the PhD training at Sofia
University, while the second edition with texts in English is a noteworthy indicator
for the willingness of the international students to share their findings with a
broader academic audience.
This
collection is thematically focused on teaching and training of pupils with
special needs, pedagogical approaches to the autism spectrum disorder and other
problems in the field of special education. It was a good opportunity for the
early stage PhD students to make systematic presentation of their research, to
structure a scientific text following pre-defined criteria, to receive feedback
from supervisors and colleagues. The edition became possible with the efforts
of the tutors from the Faculty of Science in Education and Arts. I use this
opportunity to underline the personal involvement of Prof. Milen Zamfirov,
whose energy in
the teamwork made this issue possible.
