Настоящият труд представя текстовете на средновековните гръцки и български документи, съхранявани в Зографския манастир в Атон, подредени хронологично от 980 до 1600 г. Съпроводени са от критически анализ и коментари. Изданието представя 74 автентични и 10 подправени документа, 13 от всички тях са разкрити от автора и са непознати до този момент. Изданието съдържа и богат илюстративен материал.
