I. PREAMBLE
In these General Terms and Conditions the terms set forth
below shall be used in the following meaning:
1. The University Press was created by Decree No 25 of the
Council of Ministers of 18.05.1985 in celebration of the 100th anniversary of
Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. The main subject of activity of the University
Press is: publishing and distributing academic and scientific as well as
fiction publications; providing the necessary printed publications for the
educational and scientific activities of Sofia University; promoting the
scientific achievements of the academic community.

Within the meaning of these General Terms and Conditions,
the University Press acts in its capacity of a "trader", i.e. a legal
entity that sells or offers for sale publisher’s products, provides printing
services or independently concludes and executes business, commercial,
publishing and other contracts as part of its commercial or professional
activity in the public or private sector.
2. "User" is any natural and legal person as well
as unincorporated association, accessing the website and benefiting from the
goods and services offered by the University Press, including any consumer who is
under the protection of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
3. “User under the protection of the Consumer Protection Act
(CPA)” is any natural person who acquires goods or uses services that are
not intended for doing any commercial or professional activity as well as any natural
person who, in his/her capacity of a party to a contract, ruled by the CPA,
acts outside the scope of his/her commercial or professional activity.
4. “Registered user” is a user who has registered himself/herself
on the website of the University Press, following the established procedure,
thus obtaining the additional right to request the purchase of books and other
published materials.
5. “Packaging” refers to all products made of material
of any nature to be used for the storage, protection, transportation, delivery
and presentation of goods – from raw materials to processed goods – from the
producer to the user or the consumer. Non-returnable items that are used for
the same purposes are also considered pakaging. Packaging is considered to be
any other item described in the Ordinance on Packaging and Packaging Waste
issued on the grounds of Art. 13, Para. 1 of the Waste Management Act.
6. “Purchase price” is the final price per item or per certain
quantity of publisher’s products and printing services with VAT and all
additional duties and taxes included.
7. “Price per item” is the final price per one item of
the offered products/goods with VAT and all additional duties and taxes
included.
8. “Goods” are tangible movable items, with the exception of
items sold by way of forced execution or other measures by law enforcement
authorities, as well as items that are abandoned or confiscated in favor of the
state and are offered for sale by the state authorities. “Goods”(”Product”) within
the context of the present General Terms and Conditions refers also to any book
or publisher’s production, including dictionaries, academic literature and
electronic books.
9. “ Invitation to purchase" is a commercial
communication which indicates characteristics of the product and the price in a
way appropriate to the means of the commercial communication used and which thereby
enables the consumer to make a purchase.
10. “Sales contract“ is any contract under which the trader/the
University Press transfers or undertakes to transfer the ownership of publisher’s
materials/goods to the consumer and the consumer pays or undertakes to pay the
price thereof, including any contract having as its object both goods and
services.
11. “Digital content” is data which are produced and
supplied in digital form, such as computer games, anti-virus programs, applications,
films, music, texts, electronic books, newspapers, magazines, software or
online games, databases, gambling internet sites etc., irrespective of whether they
are accessed through downloading or streaming, from a tangible medium or
through any other means.
12. “Means of
distance communication” is any means which, without the simultaneous physical
presence of the trader and the consumer, may be used for the conclusion of a
contract between those parties, such as addressed or unaddressed printed
materials, standard letters, coupon advertisements in the press, catalogues,
telephone (with or without human involvement), radio, television, videophone,
video texting, sms messaging, computer, email, internet, fax, mail order.
13. “General Terms and Conditions” refers to the
present document which is an “electronic document” within the meaning of the
Electronic Document and Electronic Signature Act, and is an electronic
statement, recorded on magnetic, optical or other carrier that allows it to be
reproduced.
14. “Website” / ”Site” is a term which denotes the
website of the University Press, accessible at the following web address: https://unipress.bg/.
15. “Password” is a user-defined code of letters
and/or digits which together with the username identifies the user and provides
him/her with the opportunity to place valid purchase orders for buying the products
offered by the University Press, which can be found at https://unipress.bg/.
16. “Processing of personal data” means any operation
or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal
data by automated or other means, such as collection, recording, organisation,
structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use,
disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available,
alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
17. “ Provision of personal data" is any activity for the
full or partial transfer of personal data from one administrator to another or
to a third person within the territory of the country or abroad.
18. “Direct Marketing” is the offering of goods and services
to natural persons by post, telephone or another direct way as well as
conducting surveys about the offered goods and services.
II. SUBJECT MATTER OF
THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. These General Terms and Conditions regulate the terms and
the procedure for the supply of publisher’s products by St. Kliment Ohridski University
Press, which are offered through the website of the University Press https://unipress.bg/,
subject to observance by the user of the requirements stated therein.
2. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall not be liable
for any disturbances or technical problems, which may prevent the supply of
goods due to the exploitation of the computer equipment by the user.
3. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall undertake to
inform the user in case of amendments to the General Terms and Conditions by
prominently publishing a message on their website https://unipress.bg/ about
the changes in the General Terms and Conditions and an updated text of the
amendments.
4. By acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions, the user
shall agree to observe them in the version, published on the site of St.
Kliment Ohridski University Press at the time of their adoption.
III. INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY RIGHTS
1. The User is not allowed to copy, transfer, distribute,
disseminate, store or use in whatever other manner any portion or the entire content
available on the site https://unipress.bg/ in whatever form, without the prior
written permission of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press.
2. The User is not allowed to use the website for sending or
transmitting any materials that have unlawful, threatening, false, misleading,
abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inciting,
pornographic or religiously incorrect content, or any other materials which can
create or encourage behavior that could be considered a crime, could lead to
civil or criminal liability or could otherwise infringe the law.
3. The entire content of the website https://unipress.bg/,
including its text segment, drawings, graphics, photographs, databases, design,
video, trademarks, software programs, logos, slogans and other information,
constitutes copyrighted work within the meaning of the Copyright and Related Rights
Act, and the Trademarks and Geographical Indications Act respectively, and belongs
to St. Kliment Ohridski University Press and/or its partners, clients or users
who have provided the relevant copyrighted items and materials.
4. Any partial or entire use, reproduction, modification,
public display, etc. of the website content without the prior written consent
of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press, of its authors or holders of other
protected copyrights, clients, partners and/or users, who had granted the
relevant works and materials for publishing is forbidden and shall be
prosecuted by all lawful means according to the procedure provided for in the
law.
IV. WEBSITE USE
POLICY. REGISTRATION
1. The access to the publisher’s products, offered by St.
Kliment Ohridski University Press is granted by registration on the website https://unipress.bg/.
2. When registering, all users shall fill in an online
request by entering the following information: first name and family name, email
address and password.
3. To place an order or receive a delivery the user shall
undertake to provide correct, accurate and updated information about himself/herself
when filling in the registration form. When subsequently processing and executing
the request, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall not be liable for
incorrect data provided by the user.
4. After completing the registration procedure, the user shall
receive the requested username (unless it is used by an already registered
user) and the password for access to the products offered by St. Kliment
Ohridski University Press. All users shall receive an electronic notification which
explicitly confirms that the registration has been successful.
5. In case of lost (forgotten) password or username and
after an explicit request by the user, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall
undertake to send a new password or username to an electronic address specified
by the user.
6. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press assumes no
responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, misdelivery or failure to store
any personal settings of the user as well as for any damage and loss of profit
incurred by the user as a consequence of, as a result of or due to the fact
that the books have been sold out, including the inability to use the website
because of technical problems, maintenance, etc.
7. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall not be liable
for any damage or loss resulting from failure to follow the provisions in this
section.
V. PERSONAL DATA
PROTECTION
1. The data by which a user can be identified may include:
"first name and family name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone
number, as well as any other information, which the user provides voluntarily
when purchasing books and other materials published by St. Kliment Ohridski University
Press.
2. When providing its products, St. Kliment Ohridski University
Press, in its capacity of personal data controller and processor, follows the Personal
Data Protection Policy.
3. The User is entitled to access, correct and alter his/her
own personal data, which he/she has filled in when registering on the website https://unipress.bg/.
If any changes occur in the registration data, the user should update the information
within 7 business days, otherwise St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall
not be liable for the fulfillment of any order which has been placed by using
the outdated registration data.
4. Upon acceptance of these terms and condition, the users
who have registered their username and password explicitly agree that the
personal data provided by them (including the chosen username and password) shall
be processed by the person, who processes personal data in St. Kliment Ohridski
University Press, as well as that this personal data shall be used for direct
marketing purposes. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press explicitly states
that the personal data provided by the user will not be transfered to third persons
to be used for advertising or promotional purposes.
5. By accepting these General Terms and Conditions the user
is deemed to have been informed about the possibility that his/her personal
data may be disclosed to third persons by complying with the legislation in
force.
6. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press exercises due
diligence in collecting, processing and storing the users’ personal data. When collecting,
processing and storing personal data, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press strictly
complies with the Bulgarian legislation and handles the the users’ personal
data in a responsible way.
7. The access and the use of social media sites such as Facebook,
Instagram, etc., by the users require separate registration and are subject to
the general terms and conditions of the relevant internet sites, therefore St.
Kliment Ohridski University Press shall be not bear responsibility for the protection
of personal data that the users have provided when accepting the terms and
conditions of these sites.
VI. PRICES
1. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press has the right to give
price discounts on the offered books for a specific period of time and this
shall be marked accordingly.
2. Apart from the discounts under item 1 of this section, when
a new price of a book has been set, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press reserves
the right to change the prices on its own initiative without prior notification
to the users.
3. The user is obliged to pay the price which was specified
on the website at the time the order was completed, regardless of whether the
price is much lower or much higher than the one subsequently set.
4. In case of technical errors in the data entered for the
user, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press reserves the right to cancel the
order and shall owe no compensation whatsoever to the user other than to refund
the amounts paid and / or deposited by the user, if any.
VII. DELIVERY
1. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press delivers its products
within the territory of Bulgaria and abroad.
2. Deliveries on the territory of the country are made by courier
- Speedy, M&BMExpress, Econt and Bulgarian Posts Ltd., within the set deadline.
3. Deliveries abroad are made by Bulgarian Posts Ltd., or by
any of the other courier companies listed above, within approximately 10 to 40
working days, depending on the particular destination.
4. The delivery charge within the territory of the Republic
of Bulgaria and abroad is automatically calculated on the basis of the total weight
of the ordered items and in compliance with the delivery rates set by the above
mentioned courier companies which are accessible on their websites. All transportation
costs are payable by the user.
5. Deliveries of published products ordered by the user are made
according to the method chosen by him/her and within the time limits determined
in items 2 and 3 of this section.
6. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press reserves the right
to extend the above-mentioned time limits by up to 7 days, without prior notice
to the user, and to extend them by more than 7 days with the prior consent of
the user.
7. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press reserves the right
to change the person, making the delivery, without prior notice to the user and
without prejudice to the price, the time limit and the way of delivery.
8. If the user cannot be found at the address specified by
him/her within the delivery deadline or no access and conditions are provided
for the delivery to be made within the specified time period, St. Kliment Ohridski
University Press shall be absolved of its obligation to deliver the ordered
published products. In this case, the user shall be entitled to confirm the submitted
request, with all delivery costs being covered by him/her. The moment the said
confirmation is done, a new delivery time frame begins.
VII. METHODS OF
PAYMENT
1. In case of cash payment of the ordered publishing
products, the user undertakes to pay at the moment of delivery the full value of
the delivered order to a representative of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press
or to the person who is making the delivery.
2. In case of bank transfer in BGN, the user shall deposit an
amount equalling the cost of the order into the bank account of St. Kliment
Ohridski University Press, and the delivery of the ordered books/publisher’s
products will be done only after confirmation of the deposit. The reference
number of the order should be mandatorily indicated in the section “Reason for
payment”. All fees and commission charges are payable by the client.
3. In case of bank transfer in euro, the user shall deposit an
amount equalling the cost of the order into the bank account of St. Kliment
Ohridski University Press, and the delivery of the ordered books/publisher’s
products will be done only after confirmation of the deposit. The reference
number of the order should be mandatorily indicated in the section “Reason for
payment”. All fees and commission charges are payable by the client.
XI. ORDER CANCELATION.
REFUSAL OF GOODS. RETURN OF GOOD
1. The user reserves the right to cancel the order: within
24 hours of placing it, and if the publisher’s products have not left the warehouse/business
premises of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press. The cancellation is to be done
at https://unipress.bg/. When making a cancellation request the user should
indicate: name, number and date of order, description of the publisher’s
product.
2. Pursuant to the provisions of Art. 50 of the Consumers Protection
Act , a user who is under the protection of the CPA is entitled to cancel the
order of one or more books without indicating the reason, without owing any indemnities
or penalties, and without paying any costs within a 14-day period starting from
the day the items were received.
3. In case of exercising the right to cancel the order under
Item. 2 of this section, the user who is under the protection of the CPA shall
cover only the costs under Art. 54 and Art. 55 of the CPA.
4. The cancellation of an order is done via the website https://unipress.bg/.
In order to exercise his/her right to cancel an order, the user may fill in the
standard “right of cancellation form” available on the website. In case of cancellation
St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall send the user, who is under the
protection of the CPA, a confirmation about the receipt of his/her cancellation
form.
5. When the right of cancellation has been exercised, the user
must send back or hand in the pudlisher’s products to St. Kliment Ohridski
University Press or to a person authorized by the University Press. The goods
must be returned in good sales condition without undue delay and no later than
14 days from the date on which the user who is under the protection of the
Consumer Protection Act communicated to the publisher his/her decision to
withdraw from the contract.
6. The deadline shall be considered met if the user sends back
or hands in the publisher’s products to the University Press before the expiry
of the 14-day period. The return costs are payable by the user, who is under
the protection of the Consumer Protection Act.
7. When a user who is under the protection of the Consumer Protection
Act, has exercised his/her right for cancellation, St. Kliment Ohridski
University Press shall refund the user all monies paid by his/her without undue
delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which it was informed about
the decision of the user to withdraw from the contract, pursuant to Item 2. of
this section.
8. The user is entitled to waive the receipt of the
publisher’s products ordered by him/her in the following cases: the delivered goods
obviously do not correspond to the ordered ones and this can be found by mere
inspection of the goods; the publisher’s products and/or their packaging have
been damaged during shipment; and/or the price that is to be paid by the user does
not match the price due.
9. On delivery, the user should check the content of the package
to see if the delivered items match the ordered ones. If printing imperfections
are found or the goods are visually damaged, the user should address the courier
who is obliged to draw up a protocol for the damaged delivery.
10. In the cases set forth in Item 8. and Item 9. of this
section, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press has committed itself to replace
the publisher’s product concerned with a new one within 7 days, but if there is
no availability of the ordered item, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press
shall refund the whole amount deposited by the user within 14 days of the
implementation of the procedure under Item 8. and Item 9. of this section. All
delivery costs are payable by St. Kliment Ohridski University Press.
11. The provisions of Art. 50 to 56 of the Consummer
Protection Act shall not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content
(electronic books), which is not delivered on a tangible medium, but is downloaded
from the website, after the downloading procedure has begun with the user’s
prior express consent and acknowledgment that by downloading the purchased item
he/she loses his/her right of withdrawal.
X. OTHER PROVISIONS
1. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press has the right to
change the manufacture and the design of the offered publisher’s products without
prior notice.
3. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press makes no
representations that the publisher’s products and services available at this
Site are appropriate, or that they are accessible outside the territory of Bulgaria,
and therefore the access to them from territories where their content is
considered illegal, is prohibited.
3. Forgotten password. If you have forgotten your password,
go to the Registration page and click on the “Forgot password” button. Enter
the email you used on registration. We will send you a temporary password that
will allow you to identify yourself to the system. The password will be sent to
the specified email address if the latter matches the already registered one.
After logging in with your email address and temporary password, select MY
PROFILE > EDIT to change the temporary password with a password of your own choice.
4. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall not bear any
responsibility if the user has not read and is not familiar with the updated version
of these General Terms and Conditions.
XI. LIABILITY
1. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press aims to provide
up-to-date information from sources it considers reliable, but does not guarantee
that they are such, and neither does it guarantee that the webpage is free of
errors and that access to it is uninterrupted.
2. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press does not confirm
and is not liable for the information contained in the websites to which it
provides hyperlinks, or for the products, services, etc., offered on the same
websites.
3. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press is not responsible for
the quality and condition of Internet connections, or for the functioning of
the devices that provide these connections.
5. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press is not liable for any
direct, indirect or consequential damage or loss of profits, arising from or

XIII. APPLICABLE LAW
1. Issues not regulated in these Terms and Conditions shall
be governed by the provisions of the Bulgarian legislation in force.
2. All disputes, related to these Terms and Conditions, not
settled by negotiation and mutial consent, shall be referred to the competent
Bulgarian court.

The entire content of the website https://unipress.bg/, including its text segment, drawings, graphics, photographs, databases, design, video, trademarks, software programs, logos, slogans and other information, constitutes copyrighted work within the meaning of the Copyright and Related Rights Act, and the Trademarks and Geographical Indications Act respectively, and belongs to St. Kliment Ohridski University Press and/or its partners, clients or users who have provided the relevant copyrighted items and materials.
4. Any partial or entire use, reproduction, modification, public display, etc. of the website content without the prior written consent of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press, of its authors or holders of other protected copyrights, clients, partners and/or users, who had granted the relevant works and materials for publishing is forbidden and shall be prosecuted by all lawful means according to the procedure provided for in the law.
1. The access to the publisher’s products, offered by St. Kliment Ohridski University Press is granted by registration on the website https://unipress.bg/.
2. When registering, all users shall fill in an online request by entering the following information: first name and family name, email address and password.
3. To place an order or receive a delivery the user shall undertake to provide correct, accurate and updated information about himself/herself when filling in the registration form. When subsequently processing and executing the request, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall not be liable for incorrect data provided by the user.
4. After completing the registration procedure, the user shall receive the requested username (unless it is used by an already registered user) and the password for access to the products offered by St. Kliment Ohridski University Press. All users shall receive an electronic notification which explicitly confirms that the registration has been successful.
5. In case of lost (forgotten) password or username and after an explicit request by the user, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall undertake to send a new password or username to an electronic address specified by the user.
6. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, misdelivery or failure to store any personal settings of the user as well as for any damage and loss of profit incurred by the user as a consequence of, as a result of or due to the fact that the books have been sold out, including the inability to use the website because of technical problems, maintenance, etc.
7. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from failure to follow the provisions in this section.

The data by which a user can be identified may include: "first name and family name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, as well as any other information, which the user provides voluntarily when purchasing books and other materials published by St. Kliment Ohridski University Press.
2. When providing its products, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press, in its capacity of personal data controller and processor, follows the Personal Data Protection Policy.
3. The User is entitled to access, correct and alter his/her own personal data, which he/she has filled in when registering on the website https://unipress.bg/. If any changes occur in the registration data, the user should update the information within 7 business days, otherwise St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall not be liable for the fulfillment of any order which has been placed by using the outdated registration data.
4. Upon acceptance of these terms and condition, the users who have registered their username and password explicitly agree that the personal data provided by them (including the chosen username and password) shall be processed by the person, who processes personal data in St. Kliment Ohridski University Press, as well as that this personal data shall be used for direct marketing purposes. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press explicitly states that the personal data provided by the user will not be transfered to third persons to be used for advertising or promotional purposes.
5. By accepting these General Terms and Conditions the user is deemed to have been informed about the possibility that his/her personal data may be disclosed to third persons by complying with the legislation in force.
6. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press exercises due diligence in collecting, processing and storing the users’ personal data. When collecting, processing and storing personal data, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press strictly complies with the Bulgarian legislation and handles the the users’ personal data in a responsible way.
7. The access and the use of social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, etc., by the users require separate registration and are subject to the general terms and conditions of the relevant internet sites, therefore St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall be not bear responsibility for the protection of personal data that the users have provided when accepting the terms and conditions of these sites.
1. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press has the right to give price discounts on the offered books for a specific period of time and this shall be marked accordingly.
2. Apart from the discounts under item 1 of this section, when a new price of a book has been set, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press reserves the right to change the prices on its own initiative without prior notification to the users.
3. The user is obliged to pay the price which was specified on the website at the time the order was completed, regardless of whether the price is much lower or much higher than the one subsequently set.
4. In case of technical errors in the data entered for the user, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press reserves the right to cancel the order and shall owe no compensation whatsoever to the user other than to refund the amounts paid and / or deposited by the user, if any.
1. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press delivers its products within the territory of Bulgaria and abroad.
2. Deliveries on the territory of the country are made by courier - Speedy, M&BMExpress, Econt and Bulgarian Posts Ltd., within the set deadline.
3. Deliveries abroad are made by Bulgarian Posts Ltd., or by any of the other courier companies listed above, within approximately 10 to 40 working days, depending on the particular destination.
4. The delivery charge within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and abroad is automatically calculated on the basis of the total weight of the ordered items and in compliance with the delivery rates set by the above mentioned courier companies which are accessible on their websites. All transportation costs are payable by the user.
5. Deliveries of published products ordered by the user are made according to the method chosen by him/her and within the time limits determined in items 2 and 3 of this section.
6. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press reserves the right to extend the above-mentioned time limits by up to 7 days, without prior notice to the user, and to extend them by more than 7 days with the prior consent of the user.
7. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press reserves the right to change the person, making the delivery, without prior notice to the user and without prejudice to the price, the time limit and the way of delivery.
8. If the user cannot be found at the address specified by him/her within the delivery deadline or no access and conditions are provided for the delivery to be made within the specified time period, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall be absolved of its obligation to deliver the ordered published products. In this case, the user shall be entitled to confirm the submitted request, with all delivery costs being covered by him/her. The moment the said confirmation is done, a new delivery time frame begins.
1. In case of cash payment of the ordered publishing products, the user undertakes to pay at the moment of delivery the full value of the delivered order to a representative of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press or to the person who is making the delivery.
2. In case of bank transfer in BGN, the user shall deposit an amount equalling the cost of the order into the bank account of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press, and the delivery of the ordered books/publisher’s products will be done only after confirmation of the deposit. The reference number of the order should be mandatorily indicated in the section “Reason for payment”. All fees and commission charges are payable by the client.
3. In case of bank transfer in euro, the user shall deposit an amount equalling the cost of the order into the bank account of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press, and the delivery of the ordered books/publisher’s products will be done only after confirmation of the deposit. The reference number of the order should be mandatorily indicated in the section “Reason for payment”. All fees and commission charges are payable by the client.
1. The user reserves the right to cancel the order: within 24 hours of placing it, and if the publisher’s products have not left the warehouse/business premises of St. Kliment Ohridski University Press. The cancellation is to be done at https://unipress.bg/. When making a cancellation request the user should indicate: name, number and date of order, description of the publisher’s product.
2. Pursuant to the provisions of Art. 50 of the Consumers Protection Act , a user who is under the protection of the CPA is entitled to cancel the order of one or more books without indicating the reason, without owing any indemnities or penalties, and without paying any costs within a 14-day period starting from the day the items were received.
3. In case of exercising the right to cancel the order under Item. 2 of this section, the user who is under the protection of the CPA shall cover only the costs under Art. 54 and Art. 55 of the CPA.
4. The cancellation of an order is done via the website https://unipress.bg/. In order to exercise his/her right to cancel an order, the user may fill in the standard “right of cancellation form” available on the website. In case of cancellation St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall send the user, who is under the protection of the CPA, a confirmation about the receipt of his/her cancellation form.
5. When the right of cancellation has been exercised, the user must send back or hand in the pudlisher’s products to St. Kliment Ohridski University Press or to a person authorized by the University Press. The goods must be returned in good sales condition without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which the user who is under the protection of the Consumer Protection Act communicated to the publisher his/her decision to withdraw from the contract.
6. The deadline shall be considered met if the user sends back or hands in the publisher’s products to the University Press before the expiry of the 14-day period. The return costs are payable by the user, who is under the protection of the Consumer Protection Act.
7. When a user who is under the protection of the Consumer Protection Act, has exercised his/her right for cancellation, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall refund the user all monies paid by his/her without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which it was informed about the decision of the user to withdraw from the contract, pursuant to Item 2. of this section.
8. The user is entitled to waive the receipt of the publisher’s products ordered by him/her in the following cases: the delivered goods obviously do not correspond to the ordered ones and this can be found by mere inspection of the goods; the publisher’s products and/or their packaging have been damaged during shipment; and/or the price that is to be paid by the user does not match the price due.
9. On delivery, the user should check the content of the package to see if the delivered items match the ordered ones. If printing imperfections are found or the goods are visually damaged, the user should address the courier who is obliged to draw up a protocol for the damaged delivery.
10. In the cases set forth in Item 8. and Item 9. of this section, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press has committed itself to replace the publisher’s product concerned with a new one within 7 days, but if there is no availability of the ordered item, St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall refund the whole amount deposited by the user within 14 days of the implementation of the procedure under Item 8. and Item 9. of this section. All delivery costs are payable by St. Kliment Ohridski University Press.
11. The provisions of Art. 50 to 56 of the Consummer Protection Act shall not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content (electronic books), which is not delivered on a tangible medium, but is downloaded from the website, after the downloading procedure has begun with the user’s prior express consent and acknowledgment that by downloading the purchased item he/she loses his/her right of withdrawal.
1. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press has the right to change the manufacture and the design of the offered publisher’s products without prior notice.
3. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press makes no representations that the publisher’s products and services available at this Site are appropriate, or that they are accessible outside the territory of Bulgaria, and therefore the access to them from territories where their content is considered illegal, is prohibited.
3. Forgotten password. If you have forgotten your password, go to the Registration page and click on the “Forgot password” button. Enter the email you used on registration. We will send you a temporary password that will allow you to identify yourself to the system. The password will be sent to the specified email address if the latter matches the already registered one. After logging in with your email address and temporary password, select MY PROFILE > EDIT to change the temporary password with a password of your own choice.
4. St. Kliment Ohridski University Press shall not bear any responsibility if the user has not read and is not familiar with the updated version of these General Terms and Conditions.
