The Eight International Colloquium of Old Bulgarian Studies (31st of August – 2nd of September 2021) was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Prof. DSc Donka Petkanova, former director of the Colloquium until 1994 and founder of the Department for Cyrillo-Methodian Studies of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The National Research Program Cultural Heritage, National Memory, and Social Development was the main sponsor of the event, which was hosted by Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.  We are happy that despite the restrictions associated with the Covid 19 pandemic, we were able to carry out this important scholarly event in which took part eighteen researchers from Bulgaria, Italy, the Netherlands, Serbia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and the UK.
